  • Long service life and low tool wear due to the abrasion-resistant grains and shape-retaining hard bonding.

  • High edge stability for economically efficient use of low-speed drives.
Notice

Wear suitable protective equipment such as eye protection, ear plugs, dust mask and protective gloves when using the sanding tip. For the machined material, observe the recommended speed (n) and cutting speed (Vc) indicated in the overview tables as well as the tool-material assignments. When using drive shaft extensions, the specified speed and cutting speed must be significantly reduced in order to prevent the shaft from bending. This is a safety factor. Before using a sanding tip, make sure that the shaft rotates properly and that the clamping function of the tool drive works properly. The clamping length must be at least 10 mm, regardless of the length of the tool shaft.

For the safe use of sanding tools, please observe the following information:

  • Sanding tips are approved for a maximum peripheral speed of 50 m/s. The maximum permitted speeds for the different shaft lengths and diameters are specified in DIN 69170, which is based on EN 12413. Each packing unit contains an accompanying sheet specifying the maximum permissible speed of the tool. This must be strictly adhered to prevent the shaft bending during use.

  • The tools are fragile, so care must be taken during use and transport. Tools must be stored in such a way that they cannot be exposed to mechanical stress or adverse environmental effects.

  • Do not use damaged or broken sanding tips.

  • The safety recommendations of FEPA must be observed when using sanding tools. You can download it from the following website: http://www.fepa-abrasives.org
